Reward Messaging Platform — Use Case Summary

Overview

The In-House Decisioning (IHD) platform powers on-site reward messaging across Betfair, Paddy Power, and Sky Betting & Gaming. It processes real-time activity events, applies business rules, and delivers personalised notifications to customers via WebSocket (TOAST) or queued full-screen messages (FULL_SCREEN) on next login.

Use Cases

1. 🎁 Reward Awarded Notification

When a customer is awarded a reward, they receive an instant on-site toast notification (push via WebSocket). Supported reward types: - Free Bet - Gaming Bonus - Money Back Token (ACCA) - Price Boost Token - Free Spins

The notification is automatically removed if the reward is subsequently used/consumed before the customer sees it.

2. 🏆 Sky Bet Club (SBC) Notifications

A dedicated messaging flow for Sky Bet Club loyalty customers covering three notification types:

  • Reward Awarded — customer notified when a reward is granted
  • Week 1 Nudge — toast notification sent to customers who have not yet had qualifying activity in week 1, encouraging them to engage before missing out
  • Week 2 Unqualification — toast notification sent on week 2 disqualification

Delivery behaviour: Reward messages are initially sent as TOAST (real-time, while online). If the customer is offline, the message is queued in MSQ as FULL_SCREEN and delivered the next time the customer logs into the app.

3. 📊 PRC Notifications (Paddy Power Rewards Club)

A two-stage notification journey for PRC loyalty customers:

  • Progress Notification — real-time TOAST sent as a customer advances through their tiered promotion (e.g., "You're 3/5 of the way to your reward"). Sent only on forward progress; suppressed on regression (e.g., bet void/cash-out).
  • Reward Awarded — TOAST notification sent when the customer completes the promotion and their reward is granted.

Upcoming Use Cases

🚧 Ghost Leg Notification (in progress)

A 3-message notification journey for Ghost Leg promotions (a specialist Money Back Token type):

  1. Token Awarded — customer notified when they receive a Ghost Leg token
  2. Paid Out — customer notified when they are paid out for their losing leg
  3. Token Credited Back — customer notified when the token is credited back due to a voided bet
